 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a perfectly serviceable, if short, horseback ride. The beach portion was lovely and the horses were chill, we just had a bit of an awkward time.

It's less of what I'd call a tour -- there wasn't any commentary, in Spanish or English, besides the small talk I made with the guide in Spanish -- and more of a 25-minute ride around to some photo ops. We rode about 5 minutes up a trail in the jungle, stopped for a picture, turned around and headed for the beach, stopped for a picture, then rode a short way to the colorful Roatan sign, stopped for a photo, and headed back. The experience was just a bit awkward, as it was just half an hour or horseback riding mostly in silence through a residential area. There were only two of us, to be fair, so it would probably be more fun if you came with a larger or more lively group. The horses are chill and friendly, though.

On our tour, the guide didn't speak any English, which wasn't necessarily an issue for our group but just unexpected considering their website is all in English. I'd recommend this for groups with at least one person comfortable speaking Spanish, as it's helpful for basic logistics like following directions on how to mount your horse.

The free hotel pickup and dropoff is a nice touch, though it was disconcerting that the driver arrived in an unmarked Jeep and didn't offer up that he was with Big Rock until we specifically asked -- it kind of freaked us out as female travelers.

We did visit during shoulder season in May, so maybe it's a better experience in peak season? In any case, they seem to be a pretty new operation, and I think they still have some kinks to work out.

As for dress code, wear pants and shoes that you're ok with getting wet, as they'll get splashed as you ride on the beach. Make sure your shoes secure to your feet, too, so they don't slip off! Bring a small backpack or something if you want to have water on your, as there's no saddlebags or anywhere to put your stuff.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My girlfriend and I had a spectacular horseback riding excursion, starting our ride along the Caribbean coast and then venturing into the lush vegetation of this wonderful island.
